 Dan Daly: the U.S. Marine who was awarded the Medal of Honor twice for two seperate conflicts!



Dan Daly (November 11,1873-April 27,1937) enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on January 10,1899, when he started training in the Brooklyn Yard. He got his first Medal of Honor during the Boxer Rebellion. Fifteen years later, he received his second Medal of Honor when the US foght alongside the Haitian government against the Haitian rebels. He was rewarded the the Navy Cross for great service during the Battle of Belleau Wood during World War 1.
