Robert the Bruce: the Scottish king who eventually led the Scots to be free from England!

Robert the Bruce (July 11,1274-June 7,1327) helped fellow Scotsman William Wallace regain the independence of Scotland. At the Battle of Bannockburn, the English got bogged down in marshy ground, therfore being annihilated by the Scottish Highlanders. Robert the Bruce died as a result of a lengthy illness.
